Guided by Squamish Archaeologist Dr Rudy Reimer (Simon Fraser University), with co-hosts Jacob Pratt (Dakota/Anishinaabe) and Jenifer Brousseau (Anishinaabe/Cree), Wild Archaeology takes viewers on exciting and never-before-seen adventures through Canada’s mountains, waterways, plains and the arctic, chasing the archaeological record deep into the history of Turtle Island.

Wild Archaeology brings to life over fourteen thousand years of human history through diverse Indigenous perspectives, featuring experts from coast to coast including Elroy White (Heiltsuk archaeologist), Dr. Kisha Supernant (Métis archaeologist, University of Alberta), Dr. Farid Rahemtulla (UNBC), Chief Isadore Day (Serpent River First Nation), Dr. Reg Crowshoe (Piikani Elder & Spiritual Leader), Dr. Max Friesen (UofT), Dr. Lisa Rankin (Memorial University), and Dr. Norm Easton (Yukon College) to name but a few.

Created and directed by award winning Mohawk filmmaker Tracy German (Sheridan University), Wild Archaeology delves into heavy topics including graverobbing, the climate crisis, and colonial genocide and dispossession, always balancing difficult knowledge with hope for the future: promoting Indigenous archaeology, repatriation, cultural revitalization and the survival of Indigenous languages in peril.
